Beginning and ending in Hobart, you’ll savour local oysters, cheeses and more while on a tasting tour of the remote and relatively untouched Bruny Island, before embarking on a panoramic cruise along the alluring azure waters of Freycinet’s Wineglass Bay.

Cameras at the ready as back-to-back visits to World Heritage Listed national parks bring you face-to-face with ancient rainforests, gleaming glacial-carved lakes and furry locals, all while staying in some truly legendary lodges. Enjoy two nights under the roof of Freycinet National Park’s award-winning cabins, followed by two nights at the door step of Cradle Mountain National Park at Cradle Mountain Hotel.

The final course? A luxurious cruise across the serene Gordon River, providing the perfect end to an unforgettable Tasmanian holiday.
Day 1 HOBART
Welcome to "Van Diemen's Land!" Schedule flights to arrive by 4 pm. Please meet your Tour Director at your leisure in the hotel lobby from 2.00pm - 5.30pm to complete the tour check-in process. Later, Join your Tour Director and travelling companions for a welcome meeting and drinks, featuring local Tasmanian wines and spirits.
Day 2 HOBART. EXCURSION TO BRUNY ISLAND
BRUNY ISLAND: Enjoy a tasting tour of this rugged island that may include local specialties such as fresh oysters, cheeses, berries, and more. HOBART: This evening at leisure. (B,L)
Day 3 HOBART - FREYCINET NATIONAL PARK
Travel to beautiful Freycinet National Park with a photo stop at the Convict Bridge. FREYCINET NATIONAL PARK: Visit the Cape Tourville Lighthouse for amazing views of the ocean and coast below. The remainder of the afternoon is at leisure to explore on your own. (B,D) Accommodation Spotlight: Spend 2 nights overlooking the blue waters of Great Oyster Bay with the rugged Hazards Mountains as your backdrop. Located inside Freycinet National Park, you will fall in love with this captivating escape at Freycinet Lodge.
Day 4 FREYCINET NATIONAL PARK
FREYCINET NATIONAL PARK: Morning cruise including the extraordinary Wineglass Bay and visit to the Cape Tourville Lighthouse. The remainder of the day is at leisure for you to enjoy the resort or explore on your own. From the Lodge you can easily enjoy a number of short, accessible walks within Freycinet National Park or you may want to consider the more challenging Wine Glass Bay hike for amazing views. (B,L)
Day 5 FREYCINET NATIONAL PARK - LAUNCESTON - SHEFFIELD - CRADLE MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK
LAUNCESTON Tour and tasting at Josef Chromy Vineyard, guided walk through the scenic Cataract Gorge. SHEFFIELD Tasting and tour at a local honey factory, sightseeing to see the town's famous murals. (B,D) Accommodation Spotlight: Spend the next 2 nights at one of Australia's iconic wilderness experiences. Located at the edge of the spectacular World Heritage listed Cradle Mountain National Park, at Cradle Mountain Hotel, you'll enjoy warm hospitality, local food and wine, breathtaking scenery and magnificent wilderness surrounds.
Day 6 CRADLE MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK
CRADLE MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK: Sightseeing including a visit to the majestic Dove Lake. Afternoon at leisure to enjoy more of the park on your own. This evening, enjoy a special behind-the-scenes visit to the [email protected] to learn about this rescue centre devoted to saving the endangered Devils. (B)
Day 7 CRADLE MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK - STRAHAN
CRADLE MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK Early morning at leisure to enjoy more of this incredible location. STRAHAN Orientation tour, visit to Ocean Beach, scenic dinner cruise on the Gordon River and into the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage area. (B,L,D)
Day 8 STRAHN - LAKE ST CLAIR NATIONAL PARK - MT FIELD NATIONAL PARK - HOBART
LAKE ST CLAIR NATIONAL PARK Visit the Wall in the Wilderness art project, sightseeing. MT FIELD NATIONAL PARK Sightseeing including the walk to Russell Falls. HOBART Farewell dinner at a harbourfront restaurant featuring fresh seafood and local wines. (B,D)
Day 9 HOBART
Your holiday ends with breakfast this morning. You may also choose to extend your time in Hobart and explore more on your own. Extra nights are available for purchase. (B)
