Your day in Perth, begins with boarding the Ferry to Rottnest Island, which is known worldwide to be the home of the happiest animal on Earth – the Quokka. Close relatives of Wallabies, these tiny animals are found all over Rottnest Island. A tour around the island takes you to some of Rottnest’s most spec-tacular locations including the Wadjemup Lighthouse and the rugged West End. The tour will provide you with an insight into Rottnest’s cultural and historical heritage, diverse wildlife & fauna. Enjoy lunch on the Island before heading back to the Mainland. You will return by Ferry to the nearby port town of Fremantle, where you can visit the fascinating Shipwreck Galleries. Your city sights tour will continue towards Perth and you will visit King’s Park, a landscape of bushland and pretty wildflowers, offering astounding views out over the city’s skyline. Your local tour guide will accompany you to the Perth Railway Station, where he will assist you with the check-in for your train journey from the Indian Ocean to the Pacific Ocean. Your local tour guide will not accompany you on the train, but the friendly train staff will lead you to your comfortable private cabin and assist you with everything. The journey begins as you pull away from the platform in Perth mid-morning. Get to know the creature comforts of life onboard on The Indian Pacific. Enjoy a modern Australian lunch as you glide through the picturesque rolling hills of the Avon Valley. After a relaxing afternoon onboard, enjoy a three-course dinner prior to your late evening arrival in the wild west township of Kalgoorlie. Awake to the spectacular expanse of the Nullarbor Plain to watch the sunrise. Be captivated by the big blue skies and ancient stillness of the desert landscape, broken only by a mob of friendly kangaroos. Waiting ahead is the charm of the once-thriving Nullarbor railway community – now ghost town – of Cook. Sit back and relax as the train continues its trek across the longest single stretch of railway in the world. On arrival in elegant Adelaide, you have the choice of a behind-the-scenes tour of the world famous Adelaide Oval or a coach tour of the city sights. This evening you will enjoy a stop at Broken Hill, Australia’s silver capital and home to a unique artistic community.

Wake up in the picturesque Blue Mountains. See the majestic Three Sisters at Echo Point and the views at Jamison Valley before completing your journey on the chartered NSW rail service into Sydney Central Station. This morning you will see Sydney in all its glory with an extensive sightseeing tour and luncheon cruise with your local tour guide. You will start by travelling through some of the city’s trendiest inner-city areas to the iconic Bondi Beach, before passing the beautiful Rushcutters Bay and Double Bay. Your tour will then bring you to Hyde Park, Parliament House and Mrs Macquarie’s Chair. This unique ‘chair’ and landmark is in fact an exposed sandstone rock, cut into a bench shape in 1810 by convicts as a gift to Governor Macquarie’s wife. It’s not only a fascinating landmark but also the perfect spot for a photo of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge. The sightseeing tour will then lead you on to a luncheon cruise around the stunning Sydney Harbour – The afternoon is at leisure. Perhaps you want to Climb the Harbour Bridge.
