Day 1 Arrive Manila
Arrival at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Manila. You will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel for check-in.
Afternoon city tour of the old and the new Metro Manila. Your local guide takes you to a historical and cultural journey passing thru Rizal Park and driving by the statue of the national hero, Dr. Jose P. Rizal. On to Intramuros, the old Walled City of Manila founded in 1565 by a Spanish Conquistador, Miguel Lopez de Legazpi. A brief tour of San Agustin Church built in 1720, one of the oldest Baroque churches in Asia declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site follows. Proceed to Fort Santiago, a military headquarter during the Spanish and Japanese era. A Rizal Shrine Museum stands in the midst of this now sprawling park, site of various events. On to the new Metro Manila where you will be brought to the Makati Central Business District, home of the biggest and most important businesses and where shopping is at its best. Follow the Acacia lined road and past the plush residential village of Forbes Park, you will be taken to another historical site - the Manila American Memorial Cemetery, a testimony of Filipino-American ties of solidarity. Rest of the afternoon free. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 2 Corregidor Island (B, L)
Leave in the morning for a one-hour trip by ferryboat for a historical tour of the Island of Corregidor also known as "The Rock". American colonizers built full scale fortifications on the island, the site of the greatest battle in the Pacific during World War II. There you will see the old bomb proof shelter, canons, mortars and ruins of old forts and barracks. The Light and Sound Show inside the cavernous Malinta Tunnel which served as Gen. Douglas McArthur's headquarters during the siege, captures what life was during that war time. Lunch at the Corregidor Inn caps the tour.
Return to Manila. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 3 Tagaytay (B, L)
This morning takes you to a scenic hour and a half drive passing through the provinces and towns of Laguna and Cavite. Rows and rows of fruit orchards of pineapple, banana, coconut, papaya and the like stretch as far as the eyes can see, while fruit stands along the way greet you. Arrive at Tagaytay and enjoy the cool climate. Rising 2,250 feet above sea level, Tagaytay offers a panoramic view of Taal Volcano, the smallest active volcano in the world. Nestled in the middle of Taal Lake is an island with a crater and within that crater is a lake with an islet. Taal is described as an "island within a lake within an island within a lake."
Lunch at Taal Vista Hotel which overlooks the volcano.
Return to Manila in the afternoon passing through Las Pinas Church with its famous "Bamboo Organ", which is still functioning and has been declared as a National Cultural Treasure.
Return to Manila.
Rest of the afternoon at leisure.

Day 4 Depart Manila (B)
