Day 1: Amman
Welcome to Jordan! Upon arrival at Amman’s Queen Alia International Airport, you will be greeted by our representative, PRIOR to immigration, who will assist you with arrival formalities. After a warm welcome, you will be transferred by private vehicle to your hotel in Amman, where you can relax and unwind after your journey. Relax on your first night in Jordan’s vibrant capital with a welcome drink of locally produced wine or beer, and canapes at The St Regis.
Day 2: Amman - Jerash - Umm Qais - Amman (BL)
After breakfast, embark on a journey to the remarkable ancient city of Jerash, one of the best-preserved Roman cities in the world. Stroll through its colonnaded streets, temples, theatres, and grand plazas, immersing yourself in centuries of history. Next, continue to Umm Qais, an ancient Greco-Roman city with breathtaking views over the Jordan Valley. Explore its ancient ruins, including the theatre and basilica. Continue to Beit Al Baraka for a unique local style beekeeping experience. Learn about traditional honey production and the importance of beekeeping in local culture (option for cheesemaking experience). Experience traditional hospitality, with an authentic Jordanian lunch with a local family, where you’ll be treated to homemade dishes infused with the rich flavours of Jordanian hospitality. Afterward, return to Amman for a walking tour of the bustling downtown area, where you’ll explore lively souks, historic landmarks, and the famous Rainbow Street—a hub of cafés, shops, and street food delights. Sample delicious local bites, from falafel to kunafa, as you soak in the city's vibrant atmosphere.
Optional: Alternative Amman sightseeing - Visit the King Hussein Royal Automobile Museum (Open Sunday-Thursday).
Day 3: Amman - Madaba - Mount Nebo - Petra (BD)
This morning travel from Amman along the Kings Highway to Madaba, known as the "City of Mosaics." Visit the famous St. George Church, home to the ancient Byzantine Madaba Map, a mosaic depicting the Holy Land. Stroll through the local market, where artisans showcase traditional crafts and souvenirs, and explore Dar Saraya, a cultural space that preserves the region’s heritage. Continue to Mount Nebo, the sacred site where Moses is said to have seen the Promised Land. Stand at the viewpoint and take in breathtaking panoramic vistas of the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and even Jerusalem on a clear day. Your journey then leads to Petra, the legendary Rose City. Upon arrival, settle into your hotel and prepare for an unforgettable exploration of one of the world’s most magnificent archaeological sites the next day. Dinner is included this evening at the Al Ghadeer rooftop restaurant at the Movenpick. In Winter dine inside the hotel at the Al Iwan Restaurant.
Day 4: Petra (B)
Prepare for an unforgettable day as you explore Petra, the ancient Nabatean city carved into rose-red cliffs. Walk through the Siq, a dramatic canyon that leads to the breathtaking Treasury (Al-Khazneh), Petra’s most iconic monument. Continue your journey through the vast archaeological site, visiting the Royal Tombs, the Roman Theatre, and the Great Temple, with opportunities to hike up to the Monastery (Ad-Deir) or the High Place of Sacrifice for stunning panoramic views.
Optional (supplement applies): This evening, you have the option to participate in a traditional Jordanian cooking class at Petra Kitchen. Under the guidance of local chefs, learn to prepare authentic dishes such as mansaf, maqluba, and mezze, followed by a delightful dinner where you can savour your own creations.
Day 5: Little Petra - Wadi Rum – Glamping - A Night Under the Stars (BLD)
After breakfast, visit Little Petra (Siq al-Barid), a smaller yet equally fascinating Nabatean site with rock-cut facades and ancient caravan resting places. Continue to the mesmerizing desert of Wadi Rum, a landscape of towering sandstone mountains and endless red dunes. Hop into a Bedouin 4WD pickup for a thrilling ride through the desert, stopping at iconic landmarks, ancient petroglyphs, and natural rock formations. Here in the desert, the legendary Lawrence of Arabia and local tribesman formed a base camp to attack the Ottoman forces. For lunch, experience Bedouin hospitality with a traditional meal cooked in an underground Zarb oven, a centuries-old desert cooking technique. As the sun sets, soak in the magical golden hues of the desert before savouring a traditional Bedouin dinner. Spend the night at your Bedouin style, secluded desert camp, gazing at the star-filled sky in one of the world's most breathtaking landscapes. Dinner is included tonight, with table service along with the opportunity to observe traditional cooking styles.
Day 6: Wadi Rum - Dana Nature Reserve - Dead Sea (B)
After breakfast, bid farewell to the desert and journey to Dana Biosphere Reserve, Jordan’s largest nature reserve. Embark on a scenic short walk (1–1.5 hours) through Dana’s diverse landscapes, home to unique flora and fauna. Continue your journey to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on Earth, stopping at the famous Dead Sea store along the way. Check into your hotel in time for a welcome sunset drink at the Akkad Beach Bar, overlooking the hues of a Dead Sea sunset.
Day 7: Dead Sea (B)
Spend a full day at leisure at the Dead Sea, where you can float effortlessly in the mineral-rich waters, known for their healing properties. There is a one-hour Dead Sea salt scrub and massage treatment included. The Dead Sea salt is known for its exfoliating and skin-rejuvenating benefits.
