Beginning and ending in Hobart, you’ll savour local oysters, cheeses and more while on a tasting tour of the remote and relatively untouched Bruny Island, before venturing deep into Tasmanian wilderness on a luxurious cruise across the serene Gordon River.

Pack your binoculars as back-to-back visits to World Heritage Listed national parks bring you face-to-face with ancient rainforests, gleaming glacial-carved lakes and furry locals, all while staying in some truly legendary lodges. Enjoy two nights swathed within the rugged elegance of Peppers Cradle Mountain Lodge, followed by two nights under the roof of Freycinet National Park’s award-winning cabins.

The final course? A panoramic cruise along the alluring azure waters of Wineglass Bay, providing the perfect end to an unforgettable Tasmanian holiday.
Day 1 ARRIVE IN HOBART
Welcome to "Van Diemen's Land!" Schedule flights to arrive by 4 pm. Please meet your Tour Director at your leisure in the hotel lobby from 2.00pm - 5.30pm to complete the tour check-in process. Later, join your Tour Director and travelling companions for a welcome meeting and drinks, featuring local Tasmanian wines and spirits.
Day 2 HOBART. EXCURSION TO BRUNY ISLAND
HOBART: Visit the famous Salamanca Market with a chance to meet artisans and taste fresh local produce. Time to explore on your own, grab a coffee, and do some shopping. Evening at leisure. BRUNY ISLAND: (Local Favourite) Enjoy a tasting tour of this rugged island that may include local specialties such as fresh oysters, cheeses, berries, and more. (B,L)
Day 3 HOBART - MT FIELD NATIONAL PARK - LAKE ST CLAIR NATIONAL PARK - STRAHAN
MT FIELD NATIONAL PARK: Sightseeing including the walk to Russell Falls. LAKE ST CLAIR NATIONAL PARK: Visit the Wall in the Wilderness art project, sightseeing. STRAHAN: Following dinner, the remainder of your evening is at leisure. (B,D)
Day 4 STRAHAN - CRADLE MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK
STRAHAN: Scenic cruise on the Gordon River and into the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage area. CRADLE MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK: Following dinner, the remainder of your evening is at leisure. (B,L,D) Accommodation Spotlight: Spend the next 2 nights at one of Australia's iconic wilderness experiences. Located at the edge of the spectacular World Heritage listed Cradle Mountain National Park, at Peppers Cradle Mountain Lodge, you'll enjoy warm hospitality, local food and wine, breathtaking scenery and magnificent wilderness surrounds.
Day 5 CRADLE MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK
CRADLE MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK: Sightseeing including a visit to the majestic Dove Lake. Afternoon at leisure to enjoy more of the park on your own. This evening, enjoy a (Local Favourite) special behind-the-scenes visit to the [email protected] to learn about this rescue centre devoted to saving the endangered Devils. (B)
Day 6 CRADLE MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK - SHEFFIELD - LAUNCESTON - FREYCINET NATIONAL PARK
SHEFFIELD: Sightseeing to see the town's famous murals, tasting and tour at a local honey factory. LAUNCESTON: Guided walk through the scenic Cataract Gorge, tour and tasting at Josef Chromy Vineyard. FREYCINET NATIONAL PARK: Evening at leisure following dinner at the resort. (B,D) Accommodation Spotlight: Spend 2 nights overlooking the blue waters of Great Oyster Bay with the rugged Hazards Mountains as your backdrop. Located inside Freycinet National Park, you will fall in love with this captivating escape at Freycinet Lodge.
Day 7 FREYCINET NATIONAL PARK
FREYCINET NATIONAL PARK: Morning cruise including the extraordinary Wineglass Bay and visit to the Cape Tourville Lighthouse. The remainder of the day is at leisure for you to enjoy the resort or explore on your own. From the Lodge you can easily enjoy a number of short, accessible walks within Freycinet National Park or you may want to consider the more challenging Wine Glass Bay hike for amazing views. (B,L)
Day 8 FREYCINET NATIONAL PARK - HOBART
HOBART: Afternoon at leisure. Farewell dinner at a local restaurant featuring fresh seafood and local wines.
