Murray River Walk is a four day adventure set on Australia's greatest river. In just 4 days you'll discover landscapes rich in water birds, kangaroos and emus while walking and river cruising through an ancient land - staying each night on lodge style houseboat accommodation where you'll dine on superb local food and wine against a backdrop of spectacular river cliffs.
Itinerary:
Day 1 - 8.00am meet guides at Hotel Renmark. Depart for 18km cruise along the Murray River to the start of walking route. Complete the day with a 3 course dinner paired with local wines and experiences of a top deck spa, campfire and riverbank nibbles. Distance walked 12km.
Day 2 - Begin with a sunrise walk on of top river cliffs, returning to the houseboat for breakfast. Walk through magnificent redgum forest, along creeks and observe Aboriginal canoe trees. Same evening format. Distance walked 14km.
Day 3 - Learn about environmental stewardship. Celebrate your 40km walking journey. Same evening format. Distance walked 12km.
Day 4 - Optional self-guided walk, experience Lock 6 and enjoy a self-guided brewery tour with lunch before saying farewell. Depart by bus to Renmark arriving 2.00pm.
