Day 1: Saturday Arrive in Christchurch
On arrival to the largest city in the South Island, you will be transferred to your city hotel for the first night of your tour. Depending on your arrival time you may like to walk around the exciting redevelopment of central Christchurch, easily accessible from your central city hotel. From stunning new architectural office buildings and shopping centres to the incredible recreation of the historic Arts Centre. Later this afternoon (at approximately 6pm), meet your local tour representative and fellow travellers, for a tour briefing, including the departure time on Sunday.
Day 2 Sunday Christchurch and Waipara Tour (BLD)
This morning meet your Coach Captain, and depart on an exclusive tour of Christchurch City, where you will learn about the amazing rebuilding efforts taking place in the city following the devastating earthquakes of 2010 and 2011. Leaving Christchurch your tour will take you north to the Waipara region renown for producing rich and spicy Pinot Noirs and Rieslings. Sample regional wine at two local vineyards, with tastings and lunch included. Return to Christchurch and visit the New Brighton Pier – the biggest ocean Pier in Australasia which has recently reopened in 2018. Dinner is included this evening at your hotel.
Day 3: Monday Christchurch to Queenstown via Lake Tekapo (BD)
On leaving Christchurch this morning, travel across the vast Canterbury Plains and then through the towns of Geraldine, set alongside the meandering Waihi River and Fairlie, before arriving in Tekapo. Visit the famous Church of the Good Shepherd on the shores of the stunning turquoise Lake Tekapo. Between November and January, the church is set amidst a blaze of colour surrounded by the famous Lupins normally in bloom, at this time. Then depart the MacKenzie Country and drive over the Lindis Pass with an elevation of 971 metres. Continue southtowards the fruit bowl of New Zealand – Central Otago and Cromwell before finally arriving in Queenstown. Dinner is included this evening at your hotel.
Day 4: Tuesday Milford Sound Day Tour (B)
An early start today, travel from Queenstown alongside Lake Wakatipu and onto the lakeside picturesque town of Te Anau. Then journey along one of the most breathtakingly scenic drives in New Zealand, the Milford Sound Road. As you drive through this remarkable scenery, stop at the at the Eglinton Valley and Mirror Lakes. The road continues through the Homer Tunnel at 1200 metres long first opening Milford to tourism in 1953. On arrival at Milford Sound boardthe cruise and discover this amazing fiord. Onboard take in Mitre Peak, Stirling Falls and a range of wildlife. Travel back along the Milford Road heading further inland back to Queenstown.
Day 5: Wednesday Queenstown at Leisure (B)
Queenstown has so many options on offer. Exhilarating jet boat rides, 4WD adventures, Bungy Jumping. The list is endless. Or you may simply choose to soak up the beauty of the surrounding lake and mountain views, relaxing at The Rees Hotel.
Day 6: Thursday Queenstown at Leisure (B)
Another day in paradise to enjoy as you please, not only is The Rees Hotel a perfect place to relax, but you also have access to the Frankton Track at the foot of your hotel. Walk along the water’s edge of Lake Wakatipu into central Queenstown, or around the south side of Frankton Arm to Kelvin Heights. Beautiful scenic views will accompany you however you choose to spend your time today, whether it be adrenaline fuelled, relaxed, or somewhere in between, the Wakatipu Basin will not disappoint.
Day 7: Friday Depart Queenstown (B)
Your tour will conclude today following breakfast and your transfer to the Airport.

PAYMENTS:
A non-refundable deposit of $250 per person is required at the time of booking. The balance of the tour price is required 47 days prior to your travel date. If you book inside 47 days, full payment will be required at the time of booking. If you cancel between 26 and 47 days prior to your travel date 40% of your tour cost will be charged. If you cancel between 8 and 20 days prior to your tour departure you will be charged 60% of your tour cost. Cancellations within 8 working days of departures will incur a 100% cancellation charge. All cancellations must be acknowledged in writing.
Innovative Travel recommends purchasing travel insurance, even when travelling within New Zealand.

Flights are the responsibility of the passenger and Innovative Travel takes no responsibility for costs involved for any changes to flights that might be required due to necessary amendments in itineraries.
Note: Wheelchair passengers
Some activities are not suitable for wheelchair passengers and any passenger requiring wheelchair assistance must be accompanied by a fellow traveller that is capable of assisting with all mobility requirements. Maximum of one wheelchair per group, the wheelchair must be fully collapsible. Further wheelchairs may be allowed subject to group size.
