Day 1: Athens - Olympia (D)
This morning you will be collected from your hotel (or from a nearby hotel pickup point) for a three day tour of some of Greece's wonderful classical sights. Prehistory, the Classical period, Roman domination, the Byzantine Empire, the Crusades and Modern times.
Depart Athens and travel along the scenic coastal road to the Corinth Canal for a short stop. Continue to Epidaurus to visit the famous ancient theatre known for its remarkable acoustics. Brief stop in Nafplio, the first capital of modern Greece. Visit the archaeological site of Mycenae before continuing to Olympia for dinner and overnight. Dinner and overnight in Olympia.
Day 2: Olympia – Delphi (BD)
Visit the archaeological site and museum of Olympia, birthplace of the ancient Olympic Games. Continue via Patras and cross the impressive Rio–Antirrio Bridge to Nafpaktos. Travel onwards to Delphi for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Delphi – Kalambaka (Meteora) (BD)
Visit the archaeological site and museum of Delphi, once regarded as the centre of the ancient world and home to the famous oracle of Apollo. Continue north through central Greece to Kalambaka for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Kalambaka – Athens (B)
