If you are flying from the islands on day 8: You will be transferred Baltra airport with the rest of the group. The group will be flying back to the mainland of Ecuador on flight AV1633. If you have booked a later flight than this, you can still be transferred with the group and then you will just need to wait at the airport for your flight. If you are extending your stay on the islands: You will need to make your own way to the airport on your day of departure. It will be your own responsibility to make sure you are at the airport in time for your flight. Getting to the airport will be by public transport so you will need to allow plenty of time in case there are any delays. Getting to Baltra Airport: You can either get a taxi (US$20) or public bus (US$3) from Puerto Ayora to the north of Isla Santa Cruz and the Itabaca Channel. The public bus only departs when it is full so there might be a bit of a wait. It is then a ferry ride across the channel (US$1) and then a public bus to the airport (free).
